Staying Active in Quarantine

by sophiachorbajian

Hi loves! I hope you are all staying safe at this time in the world. Please remember to stay home and stay safe and cautious so this all ends as soon as possible. I know it can be hard to stay active and productive when you are stuck at home. But, it is important to keep yourself active so that you stay healthy throughout this quarantine. Below are some ideas on how to stay active that I have been practicing or planning on doing. I hope you enjoy! Feel free to comment below any comments, questions, or suggestions. Xoxo, Sophia

1. Work Out in the Morning/Afternoon

The past few days I have been working out in the morning and afternoon and it has been easier for myself to stay active. By getting your workout done earlier, you create a great start to your day and you make sure that you get some physical activity done throughout the day. Have a water bottle by you when you are working out to get your water intake for your day and boost your metabolism

2. Create a Workout Playlist

Creating an upbeat and fun workout playlist will make your workout go by so fast. I love listening to fast songs that put me in a good mood. This also helps you to look forward to workout out and listening to some of your favorite music. Some of my current favorites songs are:

  • Maldad by Steve Aoki and Maluma
  • Que Chimba by Malumba
  • Boomshalaka- Demitri Vegas and Like Mike Afro Remix

Here are some great playlists on Spotify:

Power Workout
Motivation Mix

3. Find New Workouts Online

One way to keep your workouts exciting is to find new workouts to try out. You can find a lot of inspiration on youtube and Pinterest. You can even find workouts that are 5-15 minutes long if you do not want to work out for a long time. Here are some workout routines from youtube

Low Impact Full Body
20 Minutes Abs
25 Minutes Full Body

4. Change into Workout Clothing

Getting out of your pajamas and into some workout clothes will make you want to get active and workout. Change into some workout clothes and shoes and get your workout done and out of the way.

5. Take a Walk/Go Outside

Take a walk in your community or go out in your backyard and work out there. I know staying come can be tough so even getting a little bit of fresh air will help improve your mood and make you so active and productive. Remember to stay far away from other people and keep your distance.
