Hi loves! Welcome back to Styled by Sophia. Since we are all currently social distancing due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, I wanted to offer a few ideas to help you all entertain yourselves these next few weeks. Please remember to stay safe and follow the protocol of your city in regards to social distancing. Wash your hands, stay at home, drink lots of water and remember to stay informed. I hope you enjoy these ideas and feel free to comment below anything you want to see next. Xoxo, Sophia
Organize and Declutter
One thing I have been starting and plan on doing these next few weeks is to organize and declutter things around the house. This includes your makeup, skincare, desk, closet, and even your tech items like your phone and laptop. Click the button to go to my full post on some decluttering ideas.
Be artistic: Draw, Color, Sketch
A great way to keep yourself busy is to get creative and either color or draw. These can be very calming and often take up more time then you think. You can also take this time to unwind throughout the day or even improve your skills.
Make a Vision Board
A fun thing to do when you are social distancing is to be a vision board. This is something I have been thinking of doing recently and I think this is a great time to do so. Collect things to place on your board including inspirational quotes, goals, memories, photos, etc. You can customize the board to include whatever you envision for your future. Have fun with it and make it unique to you.
Spa & Self-care Day
A relaxing day to practice social distancing is to spend a day treating yourself to a spa/self-care day. Take a shower/bath, apply your favorite mask and skincare, eat healthily and relax. Take this day to practice being calm and in the moment.
Read a book & listen to a podcast
Reading a book or listening to a podcast is a great way to spend time learning and relaxing at the same time. Give yourself some time to read a little bit a day or listen to a podcast in silence to help you get your mind off things and learn at the same time.
Get active: Workout
Try a new workout to get you active and on your feet. You can find a lot of new and different workouts on Youtube to avoid lounging around the whole day. To keep things fun, try one or two new workouts every week.
Try a New Recipe
The best way to ensure you won’t get bored eating the same things at home is to try a new recipe. There are many recipes online to choose from. Try to make something that is healthy and nutritious with things you already have at home. Have fun with it and experiment with what you have. Bon Appetit!
An idea to entertain your whole family is to have a game night. Choose your favorite game to plan and put down your cellphone. Spend this time with your siblings or family and have fun making rules or switching this around to keep everyone entertained.
Watch a New Show or Movie
Make a list of shows and movies that you want to watch over the next few weeks. You could either chose randomly or watch a new movie every night etc. Ask your family and friends for recommendations. Get your snacks ready and enjoy your show/movie. Comment below what you are planning on watching these next few weeks.
Listen to Music
Listening to music is a great way to improve your mood throughout the next few weeks. I would recommend listening to some of your favorite songs or making a playlist with new songs you just discovered. Comment below what songs you will be listening to these next few weeks.
I hope you enjoyed these social distancing activity ideas! Please remember to stay safe during this time and stay informed on what is going on. Feel free to comment down below any suggestions, questions, or requests!
